Bakery Clerk

The Bakery Clerk is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to all bakery customers.
- Come to work with a positive and professional approach and attitude
- Be dependable for all scheduled shifts
- Adhere to start of day and end of day procedures
- Ensure outstanding and courteous customer service is provided in the department at all times
- Meet or exceed all operational objectives and administrative requirements, as directed
- Provide service, information and assistance to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet or exceed their requirements and expectations
- Ensure that the department produces high quality products
- Prepare, assemble, display and merchandise all products in the department
- Prepare and wrap product as assigned and according to standards
- Maintain adequate inventory levels and stock control procedures
- Implement price changes at store level
- Maintain in-store signage and shelf labels
- Maintain a shelf verification schedule, for dated products and counting of inventory
- Monitor and minimize spoilage
- Provide proper maintenance of equipment, monitor case temperatures, clean equipment regularly and adhere to all sanitation and personal hygiene policies of the Dawson Co-operative Union and Government legislation, as it applies to the Bakery
- Adhere to all Dawson Co-operative Union policies and procedures
- Adhere to all Dawson Co-operative Union health and safety standards, per the Health and Safety manual
- Other duties as assigned
