Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre has an opportunity for a Health Care Aide to join our team. As an HCA you will provide a variety of services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize critical thinking, problem solving and decision making. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. Ponoka, which means Elk in Blackfoot serves a large First Nations community. Our town is located along Highway 2 in the Battle River Valley within an hour drive to major cities. Our community provides a great opportunity for families, adventurists, and people wanting a rural life.

Description:
As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you are responsible for providing personal assistance, supporting activities of daily living and providing comfort and support services to patients (clients, residents) who require short-term assistance or ongoing support. You will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers spanning the continuum of care in home, community or health care facilities. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
