- In this site based role you will be situated full time at one of our exciting project sites in Kitimat, British Columbia. You will be fully supported as you continue to build your skills, support a schedule driven project where the emphasis will be on people, client interface, development and management.- the final Hook-up weld considering:
- All piping within Module boundaries will be Pressure Tested at Module Fabrication Yard(s)
- All Stick-Built piping will be Pressure Tested at Final Installation Site or at Spool Fabrication Shop(s)
- All Equipment will be Pressure Tested by the Equipment manufacturer.

Closure Welds are intended to be applicable only at the Final Installation Site. Any Closure Welds proposed in the
- Module Fabrication Yard(s) or Spool Fabrication Shops(s) shall be agreed with the Company on a case by case
- basis and, hence, is not included in the scope of this document.
- Following are the scenarios where Closure Welds will be considered:
- Module Interfaces i.e. Module to Module Welds as well as Module to Stick-Built Welds.
- Stick-Built piping Spool to Non-Module Equipment welded nozzle connections, where Hydrostatic Testing

is not practicable or feasible.- Stick-Built piping to Non-Module Equipment welded nozzle connections, where Pneumatic Testing cannot

be applied because of large exclusion zones and potential blast overpressure hazards.
- The Closure Weld program supervisor shall be responsible for execution of the FCCL Closure Weld program as per the approved LNG Canada project technical specification and execution plan for closure welds. This position will be the primary interface with JFJV Site Closure Weld Execution Team.
- Responsibilities as follows but are not limited to:

- 1- Plan and execute the Closure Weld scope in accordance with the Installation Work Package.
- 2- Work with FCCL workface planners to ensure Installation Work Packages are being developed for each module interface including mod-mod and mod-stick built piping where closure welds will be performed.
- 3- Ensure availability of suitably qualified craft to run continuous welding processes till completion of all Engineered Closure Welds. Work with FCCL site welding team to ensure welders with the lowest repair rates are being selected to execute closure welds.
- 4- Ensure services of the third party NDE Provider are being planned and scheduled.
- 5- Coordinate with FCCL Quality for availability of In-Process Examiner(s) for execution of Closure Welds. Ensure CW travel sheets and NDE records are being recorded into Weld Console.
- 6- Generate RFI’s and work with FCCL Quality to generate Construction Queries as situations arise.
- 7- Ensure pipefitters and welders are aware of the requirement that no ‘cold pulling’ is permitted during welding of Closure Welds. Work with FCCL area piping foremen and JFJV site CW Team on alternative methods to meet hook up requirements when out of tolerance situations occur.
- 8- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.

**Basic Job Requirements**
- Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Pipefitter and “A” or “B” Pressure Welder Certificate of Competency is an asset.
- Documented industry experience of executing.

**Other Job Requirements**
- Functional knowledge of ASME BPVC VIII, IX, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, CSA W178.2
- Working knowledge of the SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and Orbital welding processes
- Practical knowledge of purgeless (No Back Gas) welding using the RMD and/or STT GMAW process
- Aptitude for mentoring and coaching others
- Proven track record of problem solving in the field
- Ability to speak and effectively communicate technical welding and field construction issues to an audience that may include coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and supervisors
- Possesses a positive, respectful attitude
- Computer literate
- Must be available and agreeable to rotational shift work, overtime, and travel
- Travel to Kitimat work site will be required; flights provided from hubs

- Proven ability promoting outstanding customer service and client relations
- Excellent skills in interpersonal relations, conflict resolution
- Functional proficiency in project controls, human relations, industrial relations, and contract management as it applicable to assigned area of responsibility
- Demonstrated strong decision making, critical thinking and problem solving skills
