We are seeking a **Electronic Device Component Technician** **to join the **Barrie team** This role is responsible for sorting, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, removal, and/or parts harvesting of electronic equipment as required, and performing inventory control including Approved Certified Data Destruction (CDD) of cell phones. This role will also be responsible for wiping/destroying drives as per Client specs and SOW requirements, as well as palletizing electronic equipment. (PCs, laptops, printers, removable disks, monitors etc.)

**Shift Time: 7am-3pm**

**The Position**
- Sort, test, analyze, diagnose, incoming printers, mobiles devices and other electronic devices to ensure products are fully functional or harvested for parts.
- Inspect parts ensuring quality compliance
- Lifting and moving up to 40 lbs. regularly
- Diagnose and troubleshoot product faults, and adjust, replace, or repair.
- Install, remove and maintain various cell phone devices.
- Perform data sanitization and factory reset.
- Evaluate the operation of electronic components using the software provided
- Factory reset the mobile devices, printers and network equipment
- Data entry and inventory management experience
- Prepare reports and other documents to ensure accurate information and record keeping
- Unboxing and sorting equipment into correct classifications

**Your Qualifications & Abilities**:

- Minimum High School graduate
- 2 + years (minimum) of experience repairing laptops, cell phones and printers
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Experience in repairing wireless products from cosmetic changes, screens, batteries, internal components, software, flashing and unlocking.
- Able to identify various makes and models of phones and small electronics.
- Experience performing troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair and testing on various mobile products, including Android, iPhones, and iPads.
- A+ computer software or equivalent is an asset
- Strong technical background in electronics.
- Flexible, fast learner with the ability to multitask

**Working Environment**:

- Warehouse environment
- Volume of heavy equipment traffic
- Exposure to designated substances
- Exposure to loud noises and hot/cold temperatures
- Mandatory PPE must be worn at all times while on the floor. Includes coveralls, CSA approved safety boots, eye protection, hearing protection, and protective gloves.
