**This is a part time position. The working hours will vary from morning, afternoon, evenings and weekday/weekend shifts.**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist culinary team with various food preparation tasks
- Preparation and production of menu items for catering, banquets, dining room & room service
- Ensure that sanitation, hygiene and safety standards for proper food storage and handling are met
- Ensure a safe working environment through proper use of equipment, being proactive in accident prevention and diligent in eliminating safety hazards
- Assist culinary team with various food preparation tasks
- Other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- At least 2 years experience in a hotel culinary setting is a definite asset
- FoodSafe Level 1 certificate mandatory
- Basic knowledge of banquet, large volume production and cost control an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Should be highly organized, work well under pressure and be detail oriented
- Must be a great team player, with strong initiative, has a positive attitude and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work with mínimal supervision
- Excellent culinary skills and cooking knowledge

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.56-$24.52 per hour
