**Job Description**:
Gas Plant Equipment Operator

The Gas Plant Operator maintains and coordinates daily operations, records, and maintenance for the gas plant.

**Requirements**:

- Safety first mindset and proactively identifying and resolving safety issues.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of previous experience in facility operation and maintenance.
- Strong mechanical, instrument and/or electrical aptitude.
- Collaborative and able to work well with others.
- Experience with SCADA systems.
- Self-starter who can work independently.
- Experience with blowers, thermal oxidizers, adsorption vessels, gas fired engines or gas compression equipment is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel is an asset.

**Responsibilities**:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Operate and control the biomethane plant.
- Perform day-to-day plant operations including monitoring, inspecting, cleaning, repairing, and maintaining systems, equipment, and buildings.
- Collect, record, and analyze data regarding plant performance.
- Perform various routine and non-routine preventative on equipment.
- Equipment troubleshooting (mechanical, electrical, electronic and plumbing) and restarting after unscheduled shutdowns/trips.
- Operate forklift, man lift.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect potential failures and eliminate unplanned downtime.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Close work orders and document work completed using the plant Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Ordering of parts, supplies, and tools.
- Snow removal and deicing of the facility.

Additional Role Details
- On-call work, as required.
- Rotating shift work will be required (bi-weekly rotation between day and evening shifts in the first few months then day shift only moving forward)
