The Community Standards and Neighbourhoods Branch is looking for an Assisted Snow Program Service Advisor, responsible for researching, developing, and implementing/operating many components of the Assisted Snow Program.

The focus is on creating a program that supports snow removal for low-income seniors, people experiencing disabilities, and collaborating with EFCL on addressing program gaps for communities.

In this role, you will be responsible to:

- Manage projects, grants and services from conception, through stakeholder identification and engagement, planning, implementation, evaluation, reporting and follow-up
- Develop and implement short and long-term communication, stakeholder, and social-marketing strategies that reach targeted audiences and stakeholders
- Oversee and coordinate the implementation and delivery of various services and programs that provide support to property owners and engage the community by offering positive alternatives to remove snow in Edmonton
- Coordinate the snow removal program audit process, including the request for procurement process for an audit vendor, vendor governance within the scope of the approved contract, and evaluating and interpreting audit result information
- Provide data, statistical survey information, snow removal audit information and citizen survey results to support the Complaints and Investigations Section's snow removal strategy and processes
- Research best practices and behavioural barriers and benefits and evaluate the performance of various social marketing and community relations tools
- Research, develop, and support projects that increase participation of the snow removal program for vulnerable sector and communities within Edmonton through targeted programs, campaigns and services to engage the community in proactive behavioural change
- Facilitate collaborative efforts with community members and Community Standards & Neighbourhoods Branch to identify systemic barriers to compliance with snow removal, as well as solutions, and action plans
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with community organizations related to service development, community initiatives and ongoing communications
- Work with outside stakeholders to engage them in sponsorship/fund development relationshipsConduct research and share information and resources on communications and community relations best practices
- Lead the development of contracts including building business cases, requirements for contracts, and supporting the procurement of vendor
- Support the day-to-day oversight of the contracts for quality control, data on performance, invoice reviews, and day-to-day operational adjustments of programs

**Qualifications**:

- University degree in Recreation Administration or a related Degree that aligns to this field of work
- Minimum 5 years experience in the field of community engagement and development, project management, working with community organizations, and budget management
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability in bringing together various stakeholders, consensus building and facilitation
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and experience in community development and facilitation
- Able to use strategies to engage citizens including social media and digital campaigns
- Able to effectively gather, synthesize, integrate and interpret multi-faceted information from a wide range of sources
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders including community groups, citizens, senior leadership, etc.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence (or provincial equivalent). Must obtain business auto insurance for personal vehicle use on City business
- Hire is dependent upon a Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector check satisfactory to the City of Edmonton
