Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their Financial Payments integrated software solutions team.

The client is headquartered in Calgary, AB with offices in Toronto, Ontario servicing the Credit Unions space.

We are looking forward to you bringing your experience as Project Manager and your passion to build Financial Payment products that customers love as they expand their Payment Platform functionality by replacing the current legacy Cheques Processing solution.

You will now join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to help design, build and roll-out products delivering the company's vision and strategy. You will work with Vendors, Customers, Product Development and Customer Success teams to improve and maintain the Project on track, on budget and delivering functionality with High Quality for the Cheques solution and its add-on integrated components. You will be responsible for creating Project Charter and Plans, as well lead the team in daily scrum calls and organize and prioritize the work in the JIRA and MPP tools to ensure the expectations of deliverables, dates, accuracy of your work and quality will be accessible for key users and stakeholders.

**RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW**

As a Cheques Project Manager, you will use your unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision to drive our requirements and functionality vision a reality. You will spend time with vendor resources, clients and internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand their concerns and challenges, and work with Business Analysts and Testers to document innovative solutions as well as to help drive our internal stakeholders to contribute to the delivery of that vision.

You will also be responsible for updating existing and creating new Project Plans and Charters and be expected to communicate with all areas of the company, working with both our clients and your client services and product engineering counterparts to define solution release requirements and also influence the product's design, user experience and functional process flows to achieve project objectives in a balanced way.

Your experience in the Financial or Banking industry and payments processing would be a great asset.

**Requirements**:
KEY DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES

Below is a list of Key responsibilities that we expected you to assume within the first 180 days:

- Review and Update Project Documentation new or existing functionality via collaboration with customers, product development, Vendors, Customer success and QA teams.
- Take an inventory of the e xisting documentation and functionality of the system and perform a Gap Analysis of what documentation or information is missing and may impact the Project Plan including and where applicable: BRDs, FRDs, Flow Diagrams, Epics, Features and Product Backlog Items (PBIs) and Defects (Bugs) Level documentation including BRBs, Use Cases, User Stories. - You will then be responsible to manage Project Management documentation by updating the documentation and/or collaborating with other team and vendor members to do so.
- Elicit input to Plans and provide by-weekly Project Updates to Senior Leadership.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level info to general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
- Successfully engage in and be able to manage multiple work initiatives simultaneously
- Work independently with Project stakeholders to reconciled needs from other / counterpart project managers
- Serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.
- Ensure that requirements and specifications are created and easy to read, using natural language.
- Collaborate with developers and SMEs to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between project and user needs.
- Gradually or as required, assist with overall software development management such as Agile/ Iterative process
- Assist with working with/managing remote development and testing teams
- Update your activity time daily and respond to action items timely and promptly within JIRA.
- Assist with testing initiatives, including reviews of test scripts, user acceptance (UAT), stress, performance and regression testing
