Reporting to the Clinical Support Manager, the Dietitian 1 will work as part of a clinical care team and is responsible for clinical
nutrition and nutritional education in the long-term care programs. The Dietitian 1 is responsible for the delivery of service
for residents within Rosehaven Provincial program and long-term care, and assumes responsibility for the clinical and
administrative functions of the service.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
(Education; Experience/Training; Knowledge; Licenses/Certificates; Membership Requirements)
- Graduation from a recognized University program: Minimum of Bachelor of Science, Major in Food and Nutrition

Services
- Post Graduate Dietetic Internship approved by Dietitians of Canada
- Minimum of three years’ experience in dietetics with preference given for clinical experience
- Membership in College of Dietitians of Alberta with valid practice permit
- Membership with Dietitians of Canada an asset
- Must have appropriate/applicable dysphagia training

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Completes nutritional review and assessment on each resident as required; and completes documentation on

resident chart/computer-based charting_ _
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain mental and

emotional resilience in the face of challenges
- Develops therapeutic diets, calculates nutrient intake, and approves menus for residents in accordance with

accommodation standards

- Communicates recommended therapeutic diet changes to Food Services department through Food Services Manager_**SHIFT INFORMATION**
