**Mission of the Role**: The mission of the **Technical Purchasing Agent, **is to work with staff, vendors, and other departments to ensure efficient, reliable, accurate and trackable purchasing operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Develop and manage the buying process for goods and services required for the company's operations.
- Drive and implement a new purchasing process, using Autotask to record quotes, purchases, shipment tracking and inventory management.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
- Assist with RMA returns and replacements
- Work with Finance Director to conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
- Take requests from various teams to order computers, servers, and networking hardware
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor information.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Evaluate supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in purchasing and supply chain management.
- Coordinate the hardware shipping (incoming/outgoing) to and from the office with the office administrator

**Requirements and desired skillset**:

- Degree or Certificate in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 2-5 years of previous experience in buying, preferably in a managed services or similar industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive change for the better.
- Proficiency in using purchasing software and tools.
- Experience working with Autotask is a great asset
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with contract management and vendor relationship management.
- Experience of working with, negotiating, and managing suppliers.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Certification in purchasing or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is an asset.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

- This role is part time, 15-20 hours a week, hybrid set up
