Pdc Supervisor

Reporting to the Distribution Operations Manager, the PDC Supervisor supervises the operational responsibilities for the PDC, manages staff and makes recommendations on improvements to work flow.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Supervise the operations of the PDC shipping/receiving tasks efficiently and ensure all operational deadlines are met daily
- Safeguard that OHSA & JHSC rules & regulations are met or exceeded throughout all PDC operations
- Schedule staff, daily and long-term, to coordinate with current and expected workflow demands
- Train, coach, develop, mentor and discipline PDC staff as required
- Monitor and delegate workflow to ensure deadlines are met
- Administer/improve daily/weekly/monthly workflow reports
- Administer/improve employee productivity reports
- Create open dialogue with staff and keep team informed of corporate direction and developments
- Oversee the regular maintenance of equipment and machinery
- Maintain both inventory and location accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the PDC(3R,5S)
- Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- Minimum 5 years' experience in distribution, logistics or supply chain management
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory position preferably in a distribution environment
- Degree/diploma in logistics/supply chain or equivalent work experience
- Ability to provide clear and concise instruction
- Ability to coach and manage others
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Team oriented and customer service focused
- Valid MHE license: Reach Truck, Counter Balance & Order Picker
- Valid TDG certificate
