Pump Technician Apprentice

MacKinnon Water Solutions is a family owned business that has been serving the well water industry in the Ottawa Valley for 53 years. Our company is currently seeking another highly motivated and goal oriented technician for a water pump installer to join our respected team at our Sundridge branch.

**Job Requirements**
- Able to perform small mechanical repairs
- Normal work hours begin at 7:00 am until 5:00pm Monday-Friday
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds
- Must have safety boots
- Must have G License and provide own transportation to work. A clean driver’s abstract will be required
- Must be able to work in different conditions including basements, crawl spaces and outdoor environments
- Must take pride in work, appearance and representation of MacKinnon Water Solutions
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must be friendly and provide great customer service

**Other Valuable Skills**:

- Welding, electrical and plumbing experience is appreciated but not an asset

**Job Duties would include but not limited to**:

- Responsible for customer and equipment service, problem diagnosis and repair, and new installations for water well pumps.
- Keep shop and vehicles clean and organized
- Complete basic daily paperwork including reports, driving logs, and time sheets.

**Training will be provided**

**Salary**:
A normal work week is at least 50 hours/week. The hourly wage is $24/hour ($1,272/week). Anything beyond 44 hours a week is considered overtime. Based on these hours, the yearly salary is $66,144 (Plus Life, Health & Dental Benefits & RRSP Match)
