**Summary**:
The Electrical Drafter is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.

**Duties**:
Depending on experience level and particular project assignments, duties may include the following:

- Understand technical specifications of sensors and controllers to ensure appropriate wiring connections
- Create schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, cable schedules, and related documentation to clearly communicate designs to other departments and clients
- Create and review Bills of Materials
- Manage and maintain accurate component data in internal parts database
- Coordinate with vendors to identify and specify required parts and substitutes
- Create and submit pre-order lists and Engineering Change Orders
- Create and maintain clear and logical control screen layouts for operator interfaces
- Contribute to functional safety of machine designs through design choices
- Advise engineers and designers regarding improvements to designs or processes for continuous improvement
- Coordinate with mechanical and hydraulic design disciplines for effective integration of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical aspects of systems
- Contribute to compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards
- Create and maintain clear documentation of work
- Manage time and projects effectively, in line with priorities and strategic objectives communicated by management
- Provide support to panel shop for assembly of electrical panels and interpretation of documentation

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma, degree, or related experience in a field related to electrical engineering technology, instrumentation, automation, or electrical drafting
- Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic to intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Solidworks Electrical is preferred

**Travel Requirements**:
Regular local and international travel may be required to support equipment installation / commissioning or service

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cochrane, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- SolidWorks: 1 year (preferred)
- Electrical Design: 1 year (preferred)
