Job Title**:Gallery Attendant**

**Overview**

**Specific Responsibilities**

1. Excellent Customer Service & Reception
- Open and close the gallery.
- Provide exceptional guest services and ensure a positive experience for all visitors.
- Process program registrations, gift shop sales and other products/services/tickets for purchase.
- Provide support to gift shop and gallery volunteers.

2. Office Administration
- Maintain current and accurate records and statistics (members, volunteers, visitors, exhibitors, newsletter
- recipients, programs, etc.)
- Performing daily cash count and reconciliation
- Maintaining office supplies, kitchen supplies, etc.
- Manage the quarterly gift shop rentals and oversee the completion of the subsequent contracts.
- Under the direction of the Executive Director, enacting the electronic marketing campaigns (Facebook, website,
- Instagram, MailChimp, online calendars, creating posters, etc.)
- Process event and rental bookings.
- Safeguard confidentiality regarding member, instructor, patron, and volunteer information.
- Offer support to all staff and Board members for various office related tasks.
- Manage website programs, events, registrations, etc.
- Attend weekly staff meetings.
- Establish contracts with all teaching artists and partner organizations.
- Establish and maintain records, spreadsheets & schedules of programs.
- Create instructor & exhibition contracts. Use previous years contracts for reference.

3. Other Responsibilities
- Light cleaning duties as needed.
- Supervision of part-time student staff and volunteers as required.
- Provide organizational support for events.
- Help install and dismantle gallery exhibitions.
- Create labels and interpretive materials for artwork.
- Manage and organize the year-round Members’ exhibition.
- Other tasks requested by the Executive Director and/or Board of Directors as mutually agreed upon.

**Position Requirements**
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient with the use of computers (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Interest in Arts & Culture

**Assets**
- Strong ability to network with individuals, volunteers, patrons, etc.
- Strong organizational skills
- Previous experience working with non-profit organizations.
- Previous experience working in the Arts & Culture sector.
- Experience with computer programs such as Canva and QuickBooks, and a general understanding of how to manage a website (Squarespace)
- Access to a vehicle
- Current Serve it Safe Certificate and previous experience serving alcohol.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From $15.30 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
