**Job Description**:
PURPOSE & SCOPE:
The Quality Assurance Inspector must perform the duties of the position to ensure quality of parts for our customers. Work must be done in a safe and efficient manner and comply with all Stackpole International’s Health & Safety policies, procedures and quality systems. Working knowledge with SPS, 5S and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities are required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Inspect final product in accordance to methods prescribed by the Final Audie Sheets
- Record data/measurements on the appropriate paperwork
- Check in-process products according to the First-Off Sheets and Operator Inspection Sheets and report findings to the Operators and Setters
- Perform measurement studies for Engineering, QA Engineering and Production when required
- Report out-of-spec conditions to the Operators, Supervisors, QA Engineering and/or QA Manager
- Inform the Operators to shut down production when an out-of-spec condition is found during an inspection that would detrimental for the Operator to continue
- Assist Production Operators to understand how to use gauges
- Repair gauges, if required and capable
- Ensure that all QA documents are filed as required
- Assist other QA personnel when required
- Capable to work in any area of the facility to support production
- Ensure that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety Systems are met.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Education and/or Experience:_
- High School diploma or equivalent
- College Diploma in a related field is required or;
- Equivalent job training in CMM Operations
- Qualifications:_
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, in the automotive industry is an asset
- Good mathematical and analytical skills
- Good interpersonal skills. Able to work well independently or in a team environment
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Ability to coordinate, prioritize and multitask
- Demonstrated flexibility within a fast-paced challenging environment
- Language Skills:_
- Proficient in English (both spoken and written)
- Work Environment (including Physical Demands):_
- Work indoors. Environment can be noisy and dealing with different temperatures (i.e extreme heat)
- Ability to lift a maximum of 30lbs
- Work shifts may include days, afternoons, nights or continental
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods at a time
- Able to work overtime when required/requested
