**Our Position**

The Clinical Science Liaison position is responsible for ensuring clinical practice leaders (e.g., community specialist, local general practice leaders, and diverse healthcare decision makers) have the disease awareness and product understanding to support the safe and effective use of AstraZeneca medicines. The Clinical Science Liaison role addresses the increasing need the of expanding group of clinical practice leaders who are looking for up-to-date accurate medical information to enable better patient care. This role works closely with field-based customer-facing roles in Medical Affairs (e.g., Medical Science Liaison) and Commercial (e.g. sales representatives and first line sale managers).
- Develops scientific partnerships with community specialists, general practice leaders, and diverse healthcare decision makers to ensure the safe and effective use of AstraZeneca marketed products
- Delivers disease education programs and latest clinical data upon request within R&I therapeutic area; Works closely with medical community to support evidence-based changes in medical practice, including guideline implementation.
- Responds to unsolicited requests for product information from clinical practice leaders submitted through the commercial organization
- Supports speaker training.
- Delivers sales training on assigned products to enhance sales representatives’ scientific knowledge and understanding
- Gathers scientific insight from clinical practice leaders to shape brand strategies
- Participates in Key Account Management meetings at local/community healthcare institutions and accounts
- Serves as an expert on products within assigned therapeutic area; maintains up-to-date knowledge at all
- Collect and report Adverse Events in accordance with AstraZeneca policies and SOPs.

**Essential Requirements**
- Relevant Clinical experience (e.g., Respiratory Therapist, Nurse, Pharmacist, Primary Care Physician, etc) or relevant advanced scientific degree
- Ability to understand and discuss complex medical data, and also able to simplify that data into impactful key medical messages
- Ability to interact and manage a range of stakeholders both internally and externally
- Knowledge or experience of the pharmaceutical industry
- Prior experience in a field medical affairs role is preferred
- Knowledge of the therapeutic area
- Knowledge of legislation relevant to pharmaceutical industry
- Collaborative approach to working with medical and cross-functional team
