Experienced Handyman

**Summary/Objective**

As a representative for our company, you will be performing non-technical general building maintenance and minor repairs.Will be servicing sites throughout the lower mainland. Must have valid drivers license. Company vehicle provided.

**Essential Functions**
- Performs general building maintenance
- Training apprentices
- Performs grounds, maintenance and minor repair work
- Performs general labor work as assigned by the engineer, including loading, uploading and moving materials and running errands for the project
- Performs painting and drywall patching
- Replaces light bulbs/lamps and clean fixtures
- Moves furniture (modular system break down and set up)
- Responds quickly to emergency situations and customer concerns
- Monitors landscaping, common area and parking facilities
- May have to perform some janitorial duties as needed
- Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives as related to building operations and practice safe work habits

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in maintenance work.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- May be only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts; may be required to work extended periods of time without relief when responding to priority/emergency situations (including overtime type assignments); may require shift work and/or on call duties.

**Education and Work Experience**
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in commercial facilities and building maintenance.
- Pass criminal background requirements
- Clean driving record

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
