The mandate is under the _Equality in Action _Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP), which takes place in 14 countries and 3 regions over a seven-year period (2020-2027). The VCP aims to increase the involvement of local partners in developing countries in inclusive, innovative, and sustainable development initiatives that will advance gender equality. Oxfam's role is to support these organizations, working with the most vulnerable and marginalized people, to claim and exercise their rights. Oxfam places the rights of women, girls, and vulnerable and marginalized people at the heart of everything it does.

**Here's what your daily life will look like**:
In close collaboration with Oxfam's in-country team members, your mandate will be to:

- Provide support in the coordination, planning and implementation of the VCP and monitor activities in Ghana;
- Support the human resources management team in the integration of new VCP advisors;
- Support program managers to facilitate relations between partners and ensure continuity of collaboration;
- Ensure that women's rights are introduced and applied in the program;
- Manage all administrative aspects of VCP activities in accordance with Oxfam's internal procedures in Ghana;
- Organize workshops and information meetings with partners and assist them in project development;
- Provide support in the drafting of progress reports in Ghana and draft VCP reports in accordance with monitoring procedures.

**For this mandate you must**:

- Be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status in Canada;
- Have university degree in social sciences and/or management, or other relevant field;
- Have at least 3 years of relevant experience in project management and use of program evaluation tools and methodologies (in the international development sector, an asset);
- Have knowledge and experience in implementing gender equality programs;
- Have skills working with networks and coalitions, including a capacity-building approach;
- Demonstrate good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work with mínimal supervision to ensure deadlines are met;
- Possess excellent communication skills;
- Be fluent in English, spoken and written (required);
- Master the Office Suite.

- 20% increases in the living allowance for one accompanying
child (maximum of 2 children)
- $1,500 CAD per year/child for school fees
- Monthly amount for rent

- A volunteer support program during your mandate and up to two months after your return to Canada
