Purpose of Role:
The person in this role is responsible for working collaboratively with key stakeholders and Project Managers within the Department of National Defence (DND) to document and streamline key business processes within the Naval Materiel Management (NMM) environment. Business processes will be organized within an Enterprise Architecture (EA) using the Department of National Defence Architecture Framework (DNDAF) and Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN).

Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.- Supports the design, development and testing of effective and efficient architecture frameworks to organize documented business processes- Define strategic business process modeling, traceability and quality management techniques- Mentor DND architects on the standards and best practices to be followed within the NMM architecture- Analyze proposed business process architectures to ensure they align with client objectives and key stakeholder priorities- Provides alternative solutions and recommendations for key stakeholders and clients to resolve business process documentation challenges, on a continuous basis- Assists clients in developing an EA communication plan to promote NMM architecture to targeted audiences- Work with a high sense of urgency and agility to promptly and accurately respond to ad-hoc architecture update requests, while prioritizing deadlines

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Any Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Commerce- Minimum three years of experience as a Business Analyst -
- Experience with EA software (Qualiware preferred)- Brings an in‐depth knowledge of business analyst best practices, requirements, stakeholder assessments, as well as process modeling techniques that will enhance the NMM architecture

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations, Special Skills:
Eligible to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance, which requires Canadian citizenship and 10 years of residence in Canada (MANDATORY).
