- S7K- The Project Manager - Maintenance will manage and maximize returns from IRD’s service and maintenance business sector in accordance with strategic objectives. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, facilitating and reporting on all tasks associated with delivering an assigned Service and Maintenance Contract. By interfacing with functional groups including Sales and Marketing, Engineering, Production, Installation, Finance, and Service, will be responsible for satisfactory completion of all contract obligations including long lead maintenance schedules, material procurement, subcontract management, material delivery and on-site service and maintenance activities as required; will ensure the timely delivery of a quality service on schedule and on budget.

**Leadership**
- Facilitate meetings with project team members and management, wherein scope, budget, schedule, resources and risks are discussed
- Remain in contact with the Field Team members through the respective phases of the contract to ensure smooth progress and timely resolution to any site performance issues

**Strategy**
- Develop Maintenance/Service Work plans in consultation with Engineering, Production, and Field Support leads.
- Plan and manage the contractual obligations for intelligent transportation service and maintenance contracts.
- Ensure proper staff is coordinated and present for installations, systems testing and acceptance, and training phases for the project.
- Identify and source subcontractors as needed.
- Initiate quotations for service requests/equipment repairs as required by contract terms.

**Customer and Industry Relationships**
- Maintain communication with the customer to obtain any required approvals, report current contract progress with maintenance schedules and manage their expectations appropriately.
- Provide accurate schedules and requirements to field team for the execution of the work.
- Following up with customers on service related concerns to ensure customer satisfaction
- Provide customer feedback to other departments on improvement opportunities for products and systems

**Solution Development**
- Prepare detailed contract updates and manage work plans, budgets and schedules as required.
- Maintain IRD’s management information system by monitoring project budget/costs information and providing accurate revenue and cost forecasts in an appropriate and timely manner.

**Innovation and Continuous Improvement**
- Organize a project post-mortem to discuss: costs, margin, issues, NCR’s and any other lessons learned that can be applied to future projects.
- Assist with the development of processes and improvements in relation to the PM/PMO department.

**Metrics**
- Provide updates to management on contract progress pertaining to revenue, margin, and on time delivery of the scheduled service and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain project work plans and schedules to ensure the project team has access to the most current information.

**Sales**
- Maintain communication with Sales regarding customer requests for service/ maintenance opportunities or renewals and sales leads.

**Requirements**:
**Education**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Civil or Electrical) or a post secondary technical diploma (A.Sc.T.) is an asset

**Related Experience**
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a Project/Contract manager or 5+ years of construction-related PM experience

**Other Requirements**
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation is an asset

**Competencies**
