We also have an inhouse lab for testing, certification and recalibration of utility products and tools to industry approved standards, tool and equipment repair and recertification, and recertification of personal protective equipment.

**Role**

TheGrounds Testing Associate is responsible for all aspects of preparation, repair, testing, certifying and moving temporary grounds and live line jumpers through process. Attention to detail, focus and efficient work flow are key to success in this role. Equally important, you take pride in your work, you’re proactive, you enjoy collaborating, communicating and working with your team members to get things done and done well.

**Responsibilities**
- Address new and refurb work orders in priority order
- Build temporary ground cables using specified clamps and components, and accurately label them
- Repair, identify, and label temporary grounds by replacing damaged and broken components using appropriate hand or power tools
- Test refurbished temporary grounds for resistance compliance at both the beginning and end of the process
- Construct live line jumpers
- Complete certificates in alignment with repair reports and ensure new grounds comply with testing reports
- Review Customer Binders before initiating work to ensure compliance with customer standards
- Build and assemble various safety and rescue products, including mats
- Execute quality assurance procedures and update forms to ensure all information is accurate before releasing work orders
- Maintain an orderly inventory of all components used for the job
- Keep a clean and safe work environment
- Communicate with the Service Coordinator and Supervisor regarding rush orders, priority tasks, refurb deadlines, and any lead time-related issues
- Ensure unauthorized team members do not access the work area unless assigned
- Perform other duties as required

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools
- Attention to detail, safety and compliance standards
- Physical work 80% of the time
- Friendly, flexible and a team player
- Quick learner
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand during majority of shift, occasionally lift/carry up to 50+ Lbs
- Driver’s licence
- Comprehend and follow safety regulations and instructions including WHMIS
