**The team**:
You will be working in one of the most dynamic departments of the company. As part of the hardware engineering group, you will be interacting with highly collaborative and versatile specialists in the fields of electrical, mechanical and firmware engineering. You will also work in close collaboration with the production group, its supply chain specialists and our contract manufacturers.

**What your day will look like**:

- Maintain accuracy of the lifecycle status of our database of components and assemblies
- Create parts to help designers, or approve parts created by designers
- Ensure good housekeeping of the data in the PLM system, and good practices at parts creation
- Implement MCO/ECOs in collaboration with designers
- Investigate PCNs from manufacturers, determining the proper course of action and implementing/coordinating it
- Research for alternate parts (mech and electronics), making first assessment and coordinating for qualification of the part if applicable
- Participate in the production yields data gathering and analysis, and trigger investigations as needed
- Analyze RMA data (statistics) and trigger investigation when needed (observed trends, repeated failures, etc.)
- Perform reliability theoretical analysis (MTBF) on all manufactured products, using specialized software in place, and "field" MTBF calculation when possible (data availability)
- Help the procurement team and our CMs in searching for long lead-time and alternate parts, leveraging various web tools and our network of partners (distributors, brokers, etc.)
- Maintain good relationship/communication with key component manufacturers, participate in technology watch in collaboration with the designers
- Perform risk analysis to identify possible supply chain issues, as well as corrective actions
- Perform REACH, SCIP, RoHS, PROP65, among other environmental regulations verifications in products' BOMs

**About you**:

- You have a degree in Electrical Engineering (bachelor’s or DEC level, with relevant experience in electronics or component engineering)
- You have a strong sense of ethics when dealing with the various entities (vendors, CMs, sub-contractors)
- You are familiar with electronics manufacturing processes. Expert level knowledge of those processes is a strong asset for this position
- You are able to work under pressure ("positive pressure") and in a fast paced environment

**Great if you have**:

- Good electronics/circuit design understanding is a strong asset, in order to favor autonomy in pre-selecting potential alternate parts
- Knowledge and skills of electronic circuits qualification (measurement techniques)
- Knowledge and skills of mechanical parts and assembly qualification (materials, tolerances, etc.); optical parts qualification is a strong plus related to this asset
- Knowledge of environmental regulations

- Créer des pièces dans notre base de données pour assister les concepteurs, ou approuver les pièces déjà créées
- Assurer la bonne gestion des données dans notre système PLM, ainsi que les bonnes pratiques au moment de la création des pièces
- Implémenter les MCO et ECOs en collaboration avec les concepteurs
- Investiguer les PCNs publiés par les manufacturiers, déterminer la marche à suivre pour l’implémentation des changements et les coordonner
- Rechercher des pièces alternatives (mécanique et électronique), en effectuant l’évaluation initiale et en coordonnant l’effort de qualification des substituts si applicable
- Participer à la collecte et à l’analyse des indicateurs de rendement en production, et démarrer des investigations lorsque nécessaire
- Analyser les données de retours (RMA) et démarrer des investigations lorsque nécessaire (dégager des tendances, identifier les défaillances récurrentes, etc.)
- Analyser la fiabilité théorique des produits (MTBF) avec des outils
