**Responsibility**:
- Investigate Metallurgical problems.
- Review customer and production related issues.
- Investigate internal quality issues and develop corrective actions.
- Work in a team concept and rapport with Sales, production Planning and Shipping. Analyze and make decisions on product quality and process control issues ( ie Pusher Furnaces).
- Direct the activities in the test and inspection area and ensure the quality reports and certificates are issued.
- Provide technical service and support to the operations, sales, and customers.
- Issue weekly quality (and other) reports as required
- Attend and provide input on daily/weekly production meetings
- Be a member or act as coordinator on specific team projects
- Provide the necessary process quality control procedures and guidance on pusher furnaces
- Act as V/R for the senior project metallurgist
- Coordinate and direct Salvage man’s functions
- Provide PPAP’s as requested by STP or customers
- Provide monthly report of of outside storage issues
- Provide monthly seconds/ blocked stock reports
- Provide monthly ECP reports
- Provide MOR quality statistics
- Ensure lab equipment is certified and up to date
- Stress relaxation testing.
- Provide guidance on dispositioning returned material
- Act as V/R for the senior project metallurgist
- Coordinate internal quality projects as required
- Provide monthly efficiency/quality reports from pusher furnaces as requested

- Capable of working as a team player
- Self-motivated
- Necessary to handle several issues at one time
- Works well with Bargaining Unit and Salary personnel
- Conversant with Microsoft Office and other necessary tools
- Excellent report writing skills
**Qualifications**:
- University degree in metallurgy;
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar position;
- Experience in the metallurgy industry;
- Make health and safety a priority on a daily basis;
- Be available throughout the year to respond to unforeseen plant requirements, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

**Salary**: $59,849.62-$110,000.00 per year
