Architectural Draftsperson

Overview:
As part of a small but mighty collaborative team, we are looking for a part-time Architectural Technologist to join our team 3 days a week at our Halifax Studio.

The Architectural Technologist works on all aspects of the construction and design process. Our company works on residential new builds, historical and less historical renovations, mixed use multi-family and commercial spaces.

**Responsibilities**:

- Creating construction-ready drawing packages
- Millwork elevation drawings
- Quantity take offs
- Design Concepts
- Coordination and review of drawing sets
- Site visits and measures of projects
- Building 2D and 3D models

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in architectural drafting or a related field
- Architectural or Engineering Technology related diploma
- Experience in residential design, ideally renovation specific
- AutoCAD, Revit and/or Chief Architect Proficiency
- Knowledge of Building Code
- Passion for construction, design and interior design
- Juggling of multiple and pressing deadlines
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- "How can I help" mentality
- Solid written and verbal communication
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite for design presentations is a plus

Work Environment:
Office based with a high level of collaboration and open
- air environment. There will be routine visits to construction sites and existing properties.

Pay: From $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
