Sales Staff/farm Market Garden Worker

_Overview:_

Pick-your-own and Picked-for-you strawberry/vegetable/flowers farm and farm market requiring farm market garden worker help from **mid to** **late June to the beginning of August.**
- Main duties:_

1. Welcoming customers and directing customers to the fields to pick berries, vegetables and flowers

2. Directing customer movement and picking activities within and near the fields

3. Assisting with parking lot direction

4. Distributing baskets and weighing customer containers

5. Cashier duties

6. Assisting with berries, vegetables and flowers harvesting

7. Arranging and restocking produce displays

8. Other related tasks as required.

Cooperation — working with all co-workers to achieve the best overall results
- Notable requirements:_

This role requires the employee to work outdoors for extended periods standing, walking and fulfilling tasks in uneven physical terrain.

This role requires the employee to be available to work on weekends from late June through to the end of July.
- Work Experience:_

No experience necessary

Previous customer service experience an asset

Previous work with point-of-sale equipment an asset
- Skills Development:_

This role offers skills development in communications, customer service and hands-on farm market labour, all in a fast-paced, collegial environment. It is an excellent opportunity for senior high school, college and university students who enjoy working outdoors.
