**Ontario Creates** is an agency of the provincial government whose mandate is to be a catalyst for economic development, investment and collaboration in Ontario's creative industries, including the music, book, magazine, film, television and interactive digital media sectors, both domestically and internationally. This position sits within the Ontario Film Commission, which promotes the province as a preferred destination for film and television investment, offers production consulting services, and leads capacity growth initiatives.

**What can I expect to do in this role?**: As the **Production Consultant - Production Services**, you will:

- Foster lasting relationships with industry stakeholders, producers, community organizations, and government partners at home and abroad to advance sector growth.
- Provide and administer consultation and location services to producers that help attract and retain production.
- Lead capacity-building initiatives that facilitate workforce development, infrastructure development.
- Implement marketing plans, tools and programs that promote the province's film and television industry.
- Represent Ontario Creates on committees and associations.
- Coordinate Ontario Creates' presence at international and domestic trade shows and markets.
- Collect and analyze economic impact data.

As the **Production Consultant - Environmental Services**, you will:

- Foster lasting relationships with industry stakeholders, producers, community organizations, and government partners at home and abroad to advance sector growth.
- Provide and administer environmental services to producers that help attract and retain production.
- Coordinate the Ontario Green Screen Advisory committee and program management team.
- Develop and deliver sustainable tools, resources and educational opportunities for film workers.
- Write and present progress reports on the Ontario Green Screen program.
- Represent Ontario Creates on committees and associations.
- Coordinate Ontario Creates' presence at international and domestic trade shows and markets.
- Collect and analyze economic impact data.

**How do I qualify?**:
**Industry Knowledge and Marketing Skills**: You can demonstrate:

- an understanding of business and industrial development theories and practices, and how promotion of the film and television sector can drive economic development
- an ability to implement marketing plans, tools, and programs to promote Ontario's film and television production industry
- an ability to learn and understand Ontario Creates' directions, program guidelines, tax credits, and the rules and regulations impacting production in Ontario and Canada
- an ability to coordinate Ontario's presence at markets and trade fairs
- an ability to provide marketing assistance and strategies based on industry trends

**Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills**: You can demonstrate an ability to:

- resolve problems and complaints between producers and provincial/municipal officers using conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- identify and implement opportunities to promote Ontario's film and television industries
- analyze industry trends and markets, and identify potential marketing and promotional partnerships
- resolve problems and complaints regarding the use of locations
