Experienced cook required.

Good knowledge of principles and quantity cooking and experience in quantity cooking of vegetables, meat, fish and poultry, baked goods, etc., utilizing standardized metric recipes. Strong knowledge of food service sanitation standards, personal hygiene and safety.

May be responsible for checking supplies and groceries received in work area. May assist in serving special diet meals. May prepare special nourishment items. Assists in the cleaning of kitchen area and general maintenance of equipment and inventory control. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Must be able to follow a 4 week rotation menu, have strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures, able to work part of the team or independently in a busy kitchen atmosphere. Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.

The ability to work on rotation, day, weekends, evenings (7:30 pm approximately)

Have a current Food Handler's Certification or provide proof of enrolment.

Minimum of two years previous experience and handling quantity cooking; or completion of a recognized course in cooking or equivalent experience.

**Salary**: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
