Locomotive Cleaner

Locomotive Cleaner with Cando are responsible for performing the safe and efficient cleaning of the Locomotives. Working in a fast-paced, customer oriented environment, the Labourers must work well to maximize efficiency while demonstrating a strong initiative and safety focus.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Pressure wash and scrub locomotives
- This will include exterior cleaning, car body, and interior cleaning
- Adhere to all Health and Safety Programs; conduct job hazard analysis, report unsafe working conditions, and ensure they are repaired immediately
- Work and operate equipment according to customer and Cando's safety rules and regulations
- Ensure the site is clean, tidy, organized, and a safe work place at all times
- Clean and maintain the containment barrier preventing leaks

**Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities**
- Prioritize and perform multiple tasks with the ability to meet daily demands and function in busy situations
- We are looking for an honest, dependable, reliable, hard working individual.
- Medically fit to work in a safety sensitive environment; physically fit including the ability to pull self up and down
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions the site operates 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week
- Demonstrate initiative to work with others to foster a respectful workplace
- Able to accept new challenges and responsibilities as they arise

**Education & Experience**
- Training will be provided; Must be able to hold and maintain required certification.
- Ability to get to and from work
- Travel interprovincially is required
