Vancouver, Canada False Creek Community Association Full time

The False Creek Community Association (FCCA) is a non-profit society that operates the False Creek Community Centre on Granville Island in partnership with The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation (PB).

The Rental Coordinator oversees facility rentals for events at False Creek Community Centre, including weddings, birthday parties, and meetings. The position acts as the point of contact for clients by providing pre-event tours, arranging contracts, and processing payments. The coordinator also oversees the scheduling, training, and payroll of a staff team of 6 rentals supervisors who support the events.

This is a part time position of 20hrs/week, with the opportunity for additional hours overseeing events. The schedule does include some flexibility, and some weekend shifts will be required to ensure events are supported.

Currently the position is a five-month contract, however there is the possibility the role would be extended into a long-term role, with medical benefits at that time.

LIAISES WITH: FCCA Board of Directors, FCCA Management, Parks Board Recreation Supervisor, Programmers, and Front Desk Staff.

**Duties to Include**:
**Building/Room Rentals**
- Act as the point of contact for all facility rental clients
- Process incoming patron inquiries, host site viewings
- Arranging rental contracts with clients; ensuring clients have obtained any necessary permits and are aware of rental policies
- Hiring, training and scheduling of casual staff for rentals
- Provide onsite support for events as required
- Follow up with clients post rental to collect feedback
- Manage rental information through Active Net including all billings
- Provide on-call support for rental staff after hours in case of emergency
- Developing annual rental budget
- Developing marketing initiatives for increased rental opportunities

**Qualifications/Skills/Abilities**:

- Strong communication and leadership
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with administrative tasks
- Experience scheduling, supervising, and leading staff
- Familiar with social media to support marketing and outreach
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team, demonstrate good judgment, take initiative and lead effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial planning
- Experience with Active Net an asset
- Clean criminal record check

**Required Experience**:

- Minimum 1 - 3 years in a similar position
- Experience working in a community centre or recreation facility an asset
- Combination of education and experience in a related field preferred
