Bus Driver

Operating John Calvin Christian School (JCCS)

JCCS is seeking qualified applicants to express interest in joining our team of School Bus Drivers. We currently require an afternoon driver for our Langley to Sardis High School route.

John Calvin Christian School is a private elementary and middle school located in Yarrow, BC with a current enrolment of 310 students with a great team of engaged staff and involved parents.

A School Bus Driver is a rewarding career which offers a flexible work schedule and competitive wages. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, from 1:30 to 5:00. There are opportunities for extra hours as they become available for field trips and other extracurricular activities. The wage rate is $26.00 per hour.

Qualifications:

- Valid Class 2 driver’s license
- demonstrate a safe driving history by providing a Driver’s abstract.
- working knowledge of school bus maintenance and repair requirements.
- ability to manage a bus full of school age children and respond to any needs that arise.
- stamina, coordination, and physical capabilities to perform all the required responsibilities.
- Air brake endorsement and first aid ticket an asset but not required.

Interested applicants need to submit a current resume which includes qualifications and any related experience, two references, and a driver’s abstract.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal

**Salary**: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift

**Experience**:

- driving: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 1 or 2 driver's license (required)
