**Job duties**:

- Plant and move trees.
- Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and diseases.
- Assess the health of lawns.
- Plan and co-ordinate the growth of plants for landscape sanitation, ornamental and other purposes.
- Plant and construct landscape environments which may include trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios and other landscape structures and garden environments.
- Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens.
- Salting and snow removal.

**Education/Qualifications and Experience**:

- Completion of a two-to-three year college program in agronomy, arboriculture, horticulture, landscaping, landscape design or landscape technology.
- Experience as a landscape and grounds maintenance labourer is required.

**Work conditions and physical capabilities**:

- Attention to detail.
- Handling heavy loads
- Physically demanding
- Standing for extended periods

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

- Landscape maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
