**Job Title: Assistant Store Manager**

The ASM plays a key role, supporting the Store Manager in the growth, development and success of the store team and the business. ASMs are involved in all aspects of store operations and empowered to make decisions that drive sales and customer experience.

- **About You**_
- 3+ years retail management experience, including customer engagement and in-store merchandising
- High energy, active listener, high integrity, sound judgment, sense of urgency and self-motivation
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and passionate about the customer experience
- Motivated to coach and guide a team to achieve results.
- Attention to detail, critical-thinker, and problem-solver.
- Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational, time and priority management skills
- While knowledge of Home products and experience in a similar role are assets, transferable skills and experiences may also enhance eligibility, e.g., other retail experience, hospitality industry (hotel, restaurant, etc.)
- **Expectations of an Assistant Manager**_
- Responsible for the customer experience through the sales floor, customer service and front end.
- Execute effective and timely set up for all rooms + spaces sales and promotions.
- Coordinate and execute sales and service-related initiatives.
- Manage customer service issues and requests effectively and efficiently.
- Partner with the store team to achieve budgeted sales and payroll.
- Support team member recruitment, onboarding, coaching and development.
- Ensure compliance to Health & Safety, Human Resources and Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
- Ensure the store runs smoothly, efficiently and to expected standards.
- Full availability, including nights, weekends, and off-hour shifts.
