Field Operator Job Description

**Duties**:

- Perform hands-on field operations related to ESP spooling services.
- Coordinate and oversee the installation and retrieval of ESPs in oil and gas wells.
- Conduct pre-job equipment checks and ensure availability of required tools and materials.
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment used in ESP spooling operations.
- Collaborate with the team to develop work plans, ensuring efficient and safe project execution.
- Conduct regular inspections, troubleshoot operational issues, and minimize downtime.
- Monitor and record operational data, including equipment performance and fluid levels.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior field operators, ensuring compliance with best practices.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate equipment logistics.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client concerns and inquiries promptly.
- Report incidents, accidents, or near misses promptly to management.
- Follow established maintenance schedules and perform routine equipment maintenance.
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in ESP spooling services.
- Participate in regular meetings and maintain effective communication with the team.
- Adapt to changing work conditions and foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Safely operate a Class 3 truck to transport equipment, materials, and tools to job sites.
- Ensure compliance with traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections, including brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels.
- Load and unload equipment, ensuring proper securement and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate vehicle inspection logs, mileage, and fuel consumption records.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and cleaning.
- Promptly report vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents to management.
- Follow safety procedures for equipment and material handling during loading and unloading.
- Assist in the general upkeep of company equipment and facilities.
- Use specialized tools and equipment to perform diagnostic tests and identify equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with the setup and preparation of ESP spooling equipment and machinery.
- Perform manual labor tasks, such as lifting, moving, and assembling heavy spooling equipment.
- Operate machinery and equipment under the supervision of experienced personnel.
- Participate in regular safety meetings and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost-saving measures within the shop and field.
