Reporting to the Director of Labour Relations and Human Resources, the Recruiter will perform talent acquisition activities for multi-disciplinary, hourly union and non-union within their assigned area. The incumbent will be self-driven and focused on delivering results in a fast paced, high volume recruitment.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Participate in workforce planning meetings with the operations team to ascertain current demand and future needs.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to identify job specifications, duties, qualifications, and skills required for each role.
- Manage job advertisements on various platforms and maintain their accuracy.
- Engage in phone screens and participate in interview and selection process when needed.
- Conduct reference checks and other assessments as required for the position.
- Coordinate pre-employment testing, ensuring all requirements are met before the start date.
- Prepare necessary paperwork and coordinate with the new hire to ensure completeness and accuracy of the documentation.
- Partner and collaborate with HR team members in recruitment projects and initiatives.
- Participate in other related projects as assigned by the manager.
- Be prepared for occasional travel as necessary.
**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**
- 3-5 years of experience working in a high-volume recruitment setting; preferably in hospitality or oil and gas industry.
- Experience with the Skilled Trades environment is preferred.
- Degree, diploma, or certificate in human resources or a related field is considered an asset.
- Passion for recruitment and ability to manage a high-volume of requisitions.
- Experience in a unionized environment and familiarity with Collective Agreement is considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and effective written & oral communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet individual and business goals.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office, Outlook, and ability to learn new programs as needed.
