We are currently looking for an **Environmental Specialist **to join our team in one of our offices in **Halifax, St-John’s or Fredericton’s office.**

**Main responsibilities**
- Perform Phase I to IV Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs);
- Experience in completion of risk assessments, considered an asset;
- Coordinate field activities that include sampling of groundwater, soil, soil vapour, sediment, surface water;
- Perform oversight of excavation and drilling activities, on occasion;
- Implement and enforce health and safety plans on construction sites;
- Supervision of the activities of site personnel as well as those of subcontractors;
- Interact with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies;
- Project task coordination and ability to manage projects, procure subcontractor, implement/oversee field work, participate in risk assessment and remedial design efforts;
- Technical report writing and proposal development for submission to provincial and federal regulatory authorities;
- Support small to medium size project as well as support Project Managers/Business Groups on various environmental and industrial projects;
- Support internal project teams for multi-media assessments of complex sites;
- Possess strong project management, coordination and planning skills to meet client timelines and budget;
- Support the growth of the environmental practice in Eastern Canada.

**Training and skills**
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Science or Engineering. P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation considered an asset.
- 3- 5 years of environmental consulting experience in the North American marketplace.
- Knowledge of Provincial guidelines and Regulations.
- A comprehensive understanding and experience with Federal framework and/or FCSAP process would be a great asset.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Bilingual capabilities considered an asset.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle.
- Attention to detail. Ability to analyze and synthesize.
- Available for variable hours. Available to manage, coordinate and/or work on sites throughout the office province or outside the Province, on occasion.
