Overnight Respite

One Care Home & Community Support Services is a respected non profit community agency, providing quality in-home and community services. We are seeking an ADP Overnight Respite Program Assistant who, under the direction of the Community Support Services Supervisor, will be responsible for service delivery in the Congregate Respite setting including implementing program activities and direct client care.

**This position requires working at our Wingham location on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday overnights. We have a variety of shifts available including 4pm-8pm or 8pm-8am.**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assists in planning and implementing a variety of therapeutic, social and recreational activities for dementia clients.
- Assists clients in performing activities of daily living including bathing and toileting.
- Maintains accurate and confidential client records.
- Works cooperatively and communicates effectively with team members including staff, volunteers and caregivers.
- Ensures the rights and privacy of clients, volunteers and staff are maintained.
- Housekeeping duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Experience working with seniors and providing personal care.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Physically capable of performing assigned duties including client transfers.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Diploma or certificate in recreation, activation, gerontology, PSW, retired RN/RPN.
- Will consider equivalent education and experience.
- Gentle Persuasive Approach and Montessori training an asset.

- 12 hour shift
