Landscape Laborer

We are hiring **a Landscape Labourer** for one of our clients located at **Alliston**. They are into the service of residential and commercial projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Participate in grading and installing interlocking stone and retaining walls.
- Spread topsoil, lay sod, plant flowers, grass, shrubs, and trees, and perform other duties to assist with the construction of a landscape and related structures.
- Cut grass, rake, aerate, dethatch, fertilize, and water lawns, weed gardens, prune shrubs, and trees, and perform other maintenance duties as directed by supervisor.
- Operate and maintain power mowers, tractors, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, pruning saws, snowblowers, and other landscape maintenance equipment.
- Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments.
- Must adhere to our safe work practices and procedures.
- Heavy lifting ability

**Requirements**:

- 1 to 2 years of experience.
- Demonstrates safe work practices and maintains a safe work site.
- Be presentable, professional, and have a great work ethic.
- Must be familiar with landscaping tools - Able to take directions and follow instructions.
- Strong work ethic - reliable and punctual.
- Able to work outdoors with changes in temperatures.
- Ability to be a visible team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

**Shift time**: Day Shift

**Pay Rate**: $22/hr

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Alliston, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Landscape maintenance: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (preferred)
