**About the opportunity**

This is a full-time, client secondment role. You will be part of an industry-leading Contractor Safety Management team embedded in the client’s operations in Richmond. The client is one of Canada’s top employers with operations in both Federally and Provincially regulated environments. This is a Monday to Friday (40-hour work week) office hours role. It will provide a mix of fieldwork and administrative work (50% administration and 50% in-field observations). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Supporting client personnel to implement and monitor contractor safety management systems
- Facilitating contract owner, contractor and tenant orientations
- Conducting regular monitoring/inspections and job observations at client work sites to assess compliance and performance and effectively summarizing findings within reports and correspondence
- Auditing client safety management systems
- Liaising with multiple stakeholders to identify and communicate project and activity risk and mitigation strategies
- Writing and formatting reports, letters, memos and correspondence
- Conducting/supporting incident investigation
- Facilitating monthly safety meetings and discussions
- Conducting other safety support-related tasks

**Requirements**:
Minimum requirements/credentials include:

- An undergraduate degree and at least a certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
- A working knowledge of the B.C. Workers Compensation Act, Regulation, and Guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent English language skills, both speaking and writing.
- Given the nature of the role, the ability to climb ladders, access heights, walk long distances, work outdoors in all seasons and work in tight spaces (utility corridors, mechanical rooms, etc.) is required.
- Experience in Construction Industry is a significant asset.
- Successful completion of a Federal Security Application and Criminal Record check.
- A valid BC driver’s license; no vehicle required.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
