La Cité universitaire francophone a pour mission de répondre aux besoins éducatifs universitaires des francophones de la Saskatchewan quelle que soit leur langue première. La Cité participe activement au développement culturel, linguistique et professionnel de la communauté fransaskoise en offrant des cours et programmes crédités et non crédités. Elle joue également un rôle central dans la promotion du français comme langue officielle par le biais de cours de langue et de perfectionnement linguistique, notamment grâce à son Certificat en français langue seconde. En ce sens, La Cité initie, encourage, développe et soutient également des évènements et initiatives diverses touchant aux enjeux propres à la francophonie en milieu minoritaire. La Cité cultive un milieu de vie et un environnement francophone accessible et stimulant sur le campus de l’Université de Regina.

La Cité universitaire’s mission is to meet the university educational needs of Saskatchewan’s Francophones, regardless of their first language. La Cité actively participates in the cultural, linguistic and professional development of the Fransaskois community by offering credit and non-credit courses and programs. It also plays a central role in the promotion of French as an official language through language courses and language development, notably with its Certificate in French as a Second Language. La Cité also initiates, encourages, develops and supports various events and initiatives affecting issues specific to the Francophonie in a minority setting. La Cité cultivates an accessible and stimulating Francophone environment on the University of Regina campus.

Ce que vous ferez:
Le Programme d’études francophones et interculturelles (PÉFI) de La Cité souhaite combler un poste de professeur-e adjoint-e (assistant professor) en traduction, menant à la permanence.

L’enseignement inclura des cours de traduction (introduction et intermédiaire), ainsi que des cours de langue. Selon les besoins du programme et l’intérêt, il pourra aussi inclure des cours d’interprétation ou des cours en études francophones et interculturelles, ainsi que des cours aux cycles supérieurs.

What you will do:
La Cité’s French and Francophone Intercultural Studies Program (FFISP) is seeking to fill a tenure-track assistant professor position in translation.

Teaching will include translation courses (introductory and intermediate), as well as language courses. Depending on program needs and interest, it may also include interpretation courses or courses in Francophone and intercultural studies, as well as graduate courses.

Position Requirements

Les qualifications recherchées pour le poste sont:

- Doctorat en traduction ou traductologie, ou doctorat dans un domaine lié directement à la langue française avec une expérience équivalente en traduction et/ou interprétation ;
- Expérience en enseignement universitaire au 1er cycle et/ou expérience en enseignement du français langue seconde ou langue additionnelle ;
- Capacité à enseigner le français aux niveaux débutant, intermédiaire et avancé ;
- Capacité démontrée à mener de la recherche au niveau universitaire ;
- Un programme de recherche dans un champ d’étude lié directement au poste;
- Familiarité avec les technologies de l’enseignement en ligne et à distance; capacité et intérêt à accompagner les collègues et chargé-es de cours et tuteurs-rices dans leur usage de ces technologies; ou capacité à développer de telles compétences ;
- Capacité à travailler au sein d’une équipe multidisciplinaire ;
- Capacité à s’inscrire dans un cadre université-communauté ;
- Capacité à enseigner en français et en anglais ;
- Faire preuve d’initiative par rapport aux besoins du PÉFI, notamment en termes de recrutement d’étudiant-es et d’élaboration de nouveaux cours et programmes ;
- Expérience en enseignement universitaire aux cycles supérieurs est un atout ;
- Familiarité avec les communautés francophones en milieu minoritaire et/ou avec les francophonies internationales sera un atout.
- Une lettre de présentation en français ;
- Un curriculum vitae en français ;
- Un énoncé de la philosophie d’enseignement en français ;
- Démonstration de la capacité d’enseignement ;
- Un énoncé du programme de recherche.

- PhD in translation or related studies, or PhD in a field directly related to the French language with equivalent experience in translation and/or interpretation;
- Experience teaching at the undergraduate level
