Full Time Instructor
Family and Community Counselling (FCC) Program

Main Campus

NEC Native Education College is a large private Indigenous college in Vancouver and also works with First
Nations and Indigenous organizations to deliver programs in locations throughout British Columbia. NEC works
to strengthen Indigenous communities through accredited programs that lead to employment and higher
learning. The program is currently seeking a Full Time Instructor.

Reporting to the Program Manager of Human Services, NEC is currently seeking a F/T instructor to provide
student support, teach 3 courses in each of the fall and winter semesters, teach 1 course in the spring
semester, and assist with practicum placements.

Preferred Qualifications:
Any combination of education and work experience as follows will be considered:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
At least 2 years’ experience in a relevant field.
Significant teaching experience, preferably in the post-secondary education system.
Excellent verbal, written and computer communication skills.
Knowledge of Indigenous values, communities and instructional methodology, and experience

working with Indigenous organizations and Indigenous adults.

Appointment to this permanent, Regular position with probationary period will require a formal criminal record
check, the details of which may preclude an offer of employment being finalized. Preference will be given to

**Salary**: $27.06/ hr as per Collective Agreement
