Next Hydrogen is a leading innovator in large-scale green hydrogen production by water electrolysis, using water and green electricity from renewables such as wind and solar. Green hydrogen is used in fuel cells to create a fully green, virtuous energy cycle which is widely considered _the _energy carrier of the future.

**Lab Technician**

As a Lab Technician here at Next Hydrogen, you will perform a variety of hands-on electrochemical laboratory tasks aimed at the continuous improvement of the performance of our water electrolysers. Participation in on site lab-, bench
- and pilot-scale testing are all possible in this role under the supervision of our senior development staff.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Conduct lab-scale experiments to quickly evaluate new ideas and approaches
- Perform electrochemical test set-up, execution, monitoring and measurements
- Clearly and accurately report experimental data and present results to the broader team
- Work closely with other members of our product development, and product engineering teams to support our product development program
- Develop an understanding of our entire process and the drivers that determine success
- Help to identify new approaches to improve our electrochemical cell performance
- Maintain good record-keeping practices while adhering to quality and safety programs
- Maintain accuracy and calibration of laboratory testing equipment
- Perform routine inspections on laboratory equipment to determine when maintenance is required
- Use relevant computer software programs to collect or input data and information

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science
- Strong background in electrochemistry and electrocatalysis preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrochemistry and studying of electrocatalytic reaction kinetics and mechanisms
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and to participate creatively in collaborative teams across the laboratory and company
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment, set priorities to accomplish multiple tasks within deadlines, and adapt to ever changing needs

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$78,000.00 per year

Schedule:
