**Reports To**: Chairman of the Board.
**Job Summary**:Des Nedhe Management is the one over-arching management company that is wholly owned by ERFN, which in turn owns and oversees all Des Nedhe’s Group business enterprises. The independent board of directors is made up of business experts, some who are ERFN Members. Within the strategic direction and guidelines set out by ERFN Band Council and the DNG Board, DNG operates without interference from ERFN Council, ERFN Administration or ERFN Members.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Attending board meetings.
- Participating on board committees.
- Provide ongoing strategic direction to DNM (collaborate on development of long-term strategic plans).
- Participate in annual dividend decisions after consultation with ERFN Band Council.
- Monitor performance and compliance with the Business Charter and joint policies, annual business plans, annual budgets and performance reports.
- Reporting of DNG’s business activities to ERFN Band Council and members.
- Review and understand business operational and financial reports presented to Band Council in a timely manner.
- Advise the DNG Board of significant issues affecting ERFN that may influence business strategy or operations.
- Work with DNG where practical to leverage political capital and help ensure that governments and applicable businesses engage with, and look to involve DNG in relation to any businesses activity undertake on or near ERFN’s traditional territory.
- Attending various events, and
- Participating in the work of English River First Nation and Des Nedhe Management.
**QUALIFICIATIONS**:
- Business bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
- Previous Board Member and past Council experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Member of the English River First Nation with a strong connection to the community.

- Demonstrated professionalism, maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
