**JOB DESCRIPTION**

The Driver and Warehouse Technician will primarily be responsible for operating trucks, cargo vans, and other company vehicles, to facilitate deliveries and pickups for the company. The responsibilities will include transportation to venues, equipment vendors, and other runs as required. In addition, this position also assists with preparing and returning audio-visual and event equipment within our company warehouses, and the general upkeep of our fleet of vehicles. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this position is comprised of an average 40-hour work week with the expectation that flexible and overtime hours will occur. This position is based out of our Toronto warehouse and is in-person/on-site.

**Key Duties**

**Driver (85%)**
- Safely operate vehicles and trucks up to 26-feet to vendors and suppliers as required
- Adhere to all company safety standards, policies and laws as per the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) and Highway Traffic Act (HTA) in respect of driving leased, owned, and rented vehicles
- Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift, including daily reports, equipment inspection logs, etc.
- Assist in cargo handling, loading of vehicles and trucks, and secure loads in accordance with established safety requirements

**Warehouse Technician (15%)**
- Prepare and return audio-visual and event equipment
- Learn and maintain a sound knowledge of the customized rental software (IntelliEvent Lightning)
- Tag, mark, or label inventory and ensure they are placed in correct storage locations
- Manually load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, trucks and lifting devices
- Operate lifting devices such as forklifts and hoists
- Report any discrepancies in inventory to the Warehouse Manager or Equipment Manager.
- Receive and process warehouse inventory and consumable products
- Adhere to established safe working procedures and regularly wear proper safety equipment
- Provide feedback to management regarding noted equipment problems when they return from events
- Assist with inspecting "cross-rented" inventory items from vendors and verify quantity and condition for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off; reject damaged or incomplete inventory
- Assist with general warehouse organization and upkeep
- Participate in department and company meetings when requested and offer ideas or solutions to warehouse and other challenges
- Provide orientation and direction to freelance or temporary contractors operating and assisting in warehouse operations
- Take initiative to vocalize systems or inventory you would like to become more fluent with and set goals towards achieving them
- Set a positive example amongst colleagues and liaise with clients in a polite and professional manner

**Key Requirements**
- Must hold a valid Ontario G license or equivalent and be willing/have experience with operating trucks up to 26-ft
- Must possess a clean driver’s abstract and in good standing
- Must be able to work varied and flexible hours (nights, weekends, holidays)
- One year minimum experience with working in a Warehouse setting
- Familiarity with using inventory software (IntelliEvent) is considered an asset
- Must physically be able to lift, move, manipulate objects up to 23 kilograms (51 lbs.)

- Operation and use of necessary tools, PPE, machinery, or equipment
- May involve extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions
- Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 23 kilograms (51 lbs)

**Total Compensation**
Total compensation is $22.59 on an hourly basis, not including performance incentives.
