Dental experience, whether that be as an administrator in a dental office, hygienist or assistant, is an asset. A willingness to learn the nuances of the dental field is essential.

Job responsibilities and duties include:

- Learn all facets of the practice reception.
- Provide excellent patient experience and service.
- Greet and serve all patients as they arrive and exit. Ensure lasting positive impression with them.
- Schedule appointments. Manage the doctors and hygienist schedule to eliminate potential downtime.
- Record patient compliments or concerns in the software and communicate with peer receptionist, team members, and owners.
- Learn how to communicate treatment options to patients and adjust to different patient communication preferences.
- Be a team player. Keeping team members informed. Making plenty of communication notes in both electronic and paper chart.
- Review outstanding, unscheduled patient appointments and treatment acceptance monthly.
- Conduct new patient intake interviews.
- Discuss fees and make payment arrangements.
- Working knowledge of dental billings, the Ontario Dental Association Fee Guide (including codes), and insurance plans.
- Manage and file all patient records and charts (digital and paper).

Required Job Qualifications and Skill Sets include:

- 1 year+ dental hygiene or assisting or dental reception, asset
- Motivated to learn
- High degree of professionalism
- Warm and cheerful personality
- Able to work in fast paced, changing environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Enjoys working with the public
- Dental or medical software knowledge. Abeldent experience an asset.
- Organized and very attentive to detail.
- Ensure proper patient follow up.
- Serve as a point of contact for various inquiries.
- Financial acumen.

**Salary**: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
