**Duties**:
**Co-Curricular Programming Development and Implementation**:

- Develop and implement initiatives to foster student learning and success outside the classroom, including the RockVIU welcome-to-campus programming.
- Creates the strategic plan and implementation for the Co-Curricular Record (CCR) in recognizing student's achievements outside of the classroom.
- Facilitate and create training programming to support the engagement for Faculty, Staff and Administrators with the Co-Curricular Record and VIU's Co-Curricular Involvement App
- Facilitate a cohesive and integrated co-curricular program and orientation program that supports student participants and student employees.
- Direct, implement, facilitate, and evaluate inclusive programming around various student life and leadership topics.

**Student Leadership and Involvement Programs**:

- Oversee the various student leadership and involvement programs to develop co-curricular leadership and learning.
- Lead educational training sessions to help identify, address, and serve the needs of students.
- Develop and implement co-curricular training programs for students, faculty, staff, and stakeholders.

**Research and Assessment**:

- Assess and manage risks associated with student events and programs.
- Review and assess student leadership, co-curricular, and RockVIU Program goals through the creation of surveys and other evaluation forms

**Collaboration and Leadership**:

- Engage faculty and staff stakeholders to promote student development of VIU's Graduate Attributes through participation in activities approved for (CCR) notation.
- Work collaboratively with administrative and academic partners to advance co-curricular initiatives
- Work collaboratively with institutional stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to student orientation programming.
- Responsible for operations and implementation of programs and initiatives within area
- Foster professional relationships with campus stakeholders and community partners for fundraising and sponsorship opportunities related to RockVIU
- Foster professional relationships with community partners and industry stakeholders to generate student learning opportunities.

**Required Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to experiential education, business, management or Student Affairs from an appropriately accredited institution. Minimum three years of recent and relevant experience in project management, event planning, learning outcome development, student leadership, program assessment, student development, and risk assessment. A combination of relevant education and experiences may be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize various tools, including social media, to communicate education and fundraising campaigns to the VIU community.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a student-focused team environment and with a variety of stakeholders to offer students a range of opportunities.
- Superior interpersonal and written communication skills, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle difficult/sensitive situations and interpersonal interactions calmly and professionally, demonstrating problem-solving skills and driving innovative thinking and solutions.
- Experience working with Indigenous students and other diverse student populations and fostering inclusive environments within an environmental setting.
- Technically proficient with MS Office/One Drive, interrelation databases, and technology-based platforms.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with a confirmed satisfactory driving record.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Working knowledge of the Orbis database system, cloud-based technologies, and Microsoft Suite.
- Master's degree in a field relevant to experiential education, business, management or Student Affairs from an appropriately accredited institution.
