The **CMM Operator **key responsibilities** **include:
Reporting to the Quality/IATF Manager, as the CMM Operator, you will be responsible for inspection of Automotive Parts, actioning any deficiencies, and supporting Complete Customer Satisfaction.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Inspection and acceptance of detail parts in-process in injection shop and surface finishing.
- Evaluate products for acceptance to specific criteria, initiate rejection process where required, complete diverse paperwork and system records for traceability and movement of products
- CMM operation and inspection using PCDMIS
- Complete First Article Inspection reports using prescribed format in line with ISO standards
- Work under minimum supervision within a team environment is essential
- Must also possess good organizational and decision-making skills to ensure completion of paperwork, report writing, and computerized tasks
- Work safely with heavy parts, using provided assistive devices as required
**Qualifications**:
- Completed CMM operation/programming training at a recognized post-secondary institution
- Minimum 1 year of CMM operation, including using PCDMIS, experience is required
- Must have 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to read and interpret detailed technical drawings, manuals and specifications
- High competency and understanding of GD&T
- Experienced in Measurement System Analysis (i.e. gauge R&R)
- Able to operate CMM in both manual and program mode (PCDMIS)
- Fully competent in the use of tools and gauges to inspect machined parts and features
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and possess good interpersonal skills
- Proficient creating reports & documents using MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and standard work methodologies
- Will be required to work independently and with mínimal supervision to complete tasks
- Knowledge of basic calibration (recall) system and quality audit experience preferred
- Must be able to differentiate shades of colour of product
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict-resolution practices
- Strong time management skills while being adaptable to production change requirements
- Must be currently legally eligible to work in Canada
- Must be able to travel within Canada and to the USA
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 an asset
