**Role Summary**
Reporting to the Head Chef, the Breakfast Cook is responsible for preparing all food for the Hotel’s complimentary breakfast buffet, breakfast for catered events, as well as preparing staff meals. This position is responsible for maintaining food safe standards, kitchen cleanliness and a positive work environment. This is a full time position with an early morning start.
Must be available to work early morning shifts beginning at 5:00AM
**Key Accountabilities**
- Prepares all food for the hotel breakfast buffet ensuring that items are replaced as needed in a seamless manner.
- Participants in the production of event orders as required
- Prepares staff meals as required
- Ensures food preparation and service delivery standards are consistently achieved and maintained.
- Ensures quality, quantity and presentation of all food prepared meets the Coast Hotels standards for freshness, appearance and consistency.
- Prepares and cooks food as outlined in the menu descriptions with the ability to follow a BEO.
- Assists in the coordination of timing for food preparation and service.
- Is committed to working safely, including adherence to food safety regulations, hygiene and cleanliness.
- Ensures the security and control of all food stocks used in the kitchen to ensure minimum food wastage.

- Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- **Education and Experience**
- Food Safe Level I is required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position required
**Skills and Abilities**
- Self-motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills required
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, multi-functional team environment required
- Ability to work early mornings
- Demonstrated superior customer service required
