We are Canada's largest independent information technology services firm, and after 45 years, we're still growing We have a challenging career opportunity for a self-directed member to actively guide and support Application Services teams as they prepare to manage their production workload in the Application Services Optimisation Program (ASOP)
ASOP is a global CGI initiative and the ASOP Coach will be participating to national and international calls with other ASOP coaches distributed across the country and the world.
The ASOP coaches are responsible for providing guidance, feedback, and direction to ensure successful performance of an ASOP implementation and transformation. Coaching is a partnership process, during which the coach supports the engagement, acting as a change agent, through ALL phases of ASOP implementation.
Required Expertise/Experience
- Deep level of ASOP knowledge and understanding of process and tools;
- Seasoned, credible Application Services delivery member with very strong judgment and leadership; and strong communicator and motivator.

Coach Responsibilities
- Work autonomously to become a ASOP and SAFe Process SME;
- learn ASOP standardised way of working and create/share knowledge articles in Confluence;
- Supports post the implementation, during a specified period, to help teams apply/operationalize successfully.

**Responsibilities**:
Under the direction of the BU ASOP Implementation Manager, the ASOP Coach will be responsible for:

- Onboarding Application Delivery/Application Support teams to ASOP processes and Workbench tools
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with Application Service Leaders (SLs)
- Providing guidance/coaching to SLs during all phases of the ASOP Implementation Life Cycle.

**Assessment Phase**:

- Works closely with the BU ASOP Implementation Manager to ensure overall success of the ASOP and Workbench roll-out within the BU;
- Assists with the administration/analysis of process, context, and implementation plan;
- Updates the Engagement Template as needed.

Set-Up Phase
- Works with Service Leaders to request access to generic POC Testing project(s)
- Requests formal ASOP process training for Service Leaders and teams, as needed;
- Assists with the creation and review of the team’s ASOP Engagement Guide;
- Participates in weekly touch points with the Service Leader to:

- Review the suite of Workbench tools and their team’s usage of POC;
- Setup their team JIRA boards, dashboards, and all other artifacts;
- Plan the migration of data to JIRA, if needed.
- Actively guides /coaches the Service Leader to address issues as they arise and ensures ASOP processes are being implemented;
- Ensures the Service Leader /team is benefiting from all appropriate workbench features;
- Transitions to daily touch points two weeks prior to the team moving to the Transformation Phase;
- Prepares the SL/team for migration to production.

**Transformation Phase**:

- Supports the change management activity by being with the projects on a daily basis, coaching daily management and team meetings, weekly management meetings and retrospectives.
- Ensures that daily, weekly and monthly meetings are set-up:

- Coaches daily team meetings for two weeks to foster team collaboration and confirm that the communication between the team members is fluid and all important topics are addressed (e.g.Time log, Issues, Day activity, etc.);
- Leads the first 2 monthly retrospectives meetings and monitors depending on adoption level;
- Coaches the Weekly /Monthly Management Meetings and monitors depending on adoption level.
- Works closely with the SL to manage change towards Performance-based Project Management:

- 1 month to clean up the data and set the discipline around daily time logging and full time logged;
- 2 months to understand how to drive through KPIs, set targets and see first improvements;
- 3 months to audit the progress and check maturity improvements.
- Actively guides /coaches SLs and team members to address issues and ensures they are benefiting from all appropriate workbench features.

**Steady State**:

- Conducts regular audits of project process and tools usage.
