**Job Title: Transborder, Couture & Automotive Team Lead**

**Reports To: Transborder, Couture and Automotive Manager**

**Job Purpose**

As the Transborder Operations Team Lead, you will lead and direct the Operations staff, ensuring efficient delegation of day-to-day tasks. You will be responsible for overseeing billing to ensure that the 48-hour KPI is being met, mentoring and knowledge sharing with direct reports, supervising direct report staff, ensuring inter-office communication is appropriate and correct, and keeping customers informed of delays or problems along with resolution steps. You will ensure customer delivery requirements are met, ensure accuracy on Realm Reports, manage payables for office administrative functions, negotiate rates with suppliers and carriers as well as warehouse facilities, and provide sales assistance as required/requested. Additionally, you will stay informed of industry changes (processes, etc.) by reading bulletins, attending seminars, and communicating the same to the team.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Lead and direct all Operations staff through efficient delegation of day-to-day tasks.
- Oversee billing to ensure 48-hour KPI is being met.
- Mentor and knowledge share with direct reports
- Supervision of direct report staff
- Ensure inter-office communication is appropriate and correct
- Keep customers informed of delays or problems along with resolution steps
- Ensure customer delivery requirements are met
- Ensure accuracy on Realm Reports
- Manage payables for office administrative functions
- Rate negotiation with suppliers and carriers as well as warehouse facilities, etc.
- Sales assistance as required/requested
- Stay informed of industry changes (processes, etc.) by reading bulletins, attending seminars, and communicating the same to the team.
- Overseeing special projects as needed/management of high-level customers.
- Month end to be completed on time & accurately
- Audit department files for accurate completion
- All files to be billed within the closing months RRD
- Rolled files to be advised with reason for roll
- Ensure accruals are accurate within the system and that payables are approved in a timely manner
- Complete File analysis and exception reporting
- Current Change Report analysis and reporting
- Ensure department standards and procedures are maintained
- Department invoicing is done within prescribed timelines
- Department quotes are completed within 24 hrs.
- Maintain departmental customer service standards
- Set up and allocate tasks to team members.
- Oversee that the team follows all established procedures.
- Provide constructive feedback to employees and assist them with challenging task
- Solve problems / client disputes
- Communicate with agents and customers on a regular basis
- The Team Lead will assume full operational responsibility of the Domestic, Transborder, Couture and General Motors departments if/when the department Manager is absent for training, work related travel, illness, and/or vacation. These duties may include full month end close responsibilities, as required
- Assist in the development of new customers
- On call (as needed)
- Other tasks as required

**Qualifications**
- 2-3 years of Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Management experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience highly preferred
- CITT and/or CIFFA certifications considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Experience in managing third-party logistics providers
- Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions
