Are you an experienced videographer with a passion for visual storytelling? Does being sent out into the field with a video camera and small batch of interviews to film and a list of b-roll shots to gather sound like your dream day at the office? Do you enjoy editing as much as you do filming? If so, you may be the perfect fit for our team.

The Department of Marketing and Communications is looking for is a skilled and confident videographer who is able work clients at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally. In this job, no two days are the same. You will join a team of multi-disciplinary creatives who work together to create quality video content in support of NAIT’s strategic marketing and communication initiatives. Reporting to the Video Producer, the Videographer will support pre-production, production and post-production across a variety of projects including YouTube and social media ads, program marketing videos, communications projects, event videos and more.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with colleagues on concepts to help efficiently deliver a well-produced, high-quality video.
- Take projects from research, storyboard and creative stages all the way to final delivery and archiving.
- Select supporting media for video projects including music and photography.
- Maintain video equipment and ensuring that equipment is accounted for at all times.

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Demonstrated effectiveness as a passionate storyteller with a good grasp of story structure with the ability to interpret a project brief and turn it into a compelling story.
- Strong understanding of pre-production.
- Experienced videographer with an above-average ability with both cinematography and production audio.
- Good understanding of basic colour correction and colour grading using Premiere or Resolve.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to problem solve and work creatively with limited resources.
- Ability to work effectively as a lone producer or as a member of a small crew.

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of grade twelve
- Related post-secondary diploma or degree
- 3+ years of experience as a videographer
- 3+ years editing experience using Adobe Premiere is preferred
- Driver’s license is preferred
- Equivalencies may be considered

**Remuneration**: $2,217.59 - $2,945.13 biweekly, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Multimedia Specialist I).
- This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement_
